2FA request for secret key or WebAuthn

I tried enabling 2FA, I only get a QR code, no secret key,
how do I get a secret key to use it with YubiKey authenticator?

as a better alternative to OTP is WebAuthn planed?

there’s an open feature request from 2017 regarding U2F.
