in our company, we have installed Seafile Pro and we are very satisfied with it.
We are looking for a way to edit files included in a folder exclusively using the client (via “Sync this library”) rather than through the web interface.
For example, users share files created with Microsoft Excel that include pivot tables, freeze panes, data formatting, etc.
When they click on the file name in the web interface, it opens in online editing mode with Collabora (based on LibreOffice), and all customizations (e.g., pivot tables, freeze panes, etc.) are lost.
From the web interface, users should only be allowed to download files.
I know it’s a very particular and strange request, but is it possible to achieve this goal with custom sharing permissions?
