Amazon S3 used to support sharing of bucket objects via bittorrent. For each AWS service region there is a tracker, and each public object has its own torrent file. This feature was by design to aid the distribution of large file to a huge audience base, because a distributed downloading mechanism would in such a case largely reduce the load on the origin server.
I wish seafile will also have such a feature, where every file or folder will have its own torrent file for download. In that case, mass distribution of large files using seafile, such as installation packages, would come with ease.
