Can't upgrade 7.1 pro to 8.0 pro (beta)


after upgrade my pro server from 7.1 to 8.0 (beta) i get the followring error
“Sorry, but the requested page is unavailable due to a server hiccup.”

My todo is

  • stopping seahub
  • stopping seafile
  • install “apt-get install libmysqlclient-dev” and “sudo pip3 install -U future mysqlclient”
  • clear the cache
  • download 8.0
  • unzipp
  • start upgrade 7.1 -> 8.0
  • starting seafile
  • starting seahub

My os is Ubuntu 20.04

What am i doing wrong?

Let us see the log files, can you show us your logs (seahub.log seahub.init.log seafile.log seafile.init.log controller.log seafevents.log)maybe we will see more clearly … on debian buster, 7.1.X to 8.0.0 in my case, everything is ok.

If you use mariadb you need to install other packages. There are multiple posts containing the solution to this.

The manual is not helpful, as usual. And since they locked the community out from also contributing to it, we are better of writing our own notes. Or someone could get around contributing to the community manual. :smiley:
