Client behind corporate firewall on 80/443?

hello !

is it possible to use a seafile client from within a corporate network where only outgoing connections on port 80 & 443 is possible ?

marc

Yes, if the server is setup on 80/443.

Just to clearyfy it’s enough to put a reveres proxy trough NGINX and use either HTTP or HTTPS.
It’s not a good idé to change the seahub port.

I’m not trying to be a smart-ass but some people can misunderstand it and change the seahub port.

i am afraid I can’t follow anymore…

You can simply use NGINX as a reverse proxy, and trough NGINX you can either choose HTTP (port 80) or HTTPS (port 443) HTTPS is recommended.
You can find more information in the Seafile Manual or you can read my guide.
