This message is to report what seems to me to be an incompatibility between Seafile Client 9.0.4 (and 9.0.3) and MacOS 10.13.
On a MacOS 10.3.6, the installation succeeded but MacOS then refused to launch the application, and indicates that this version of Seafile Client requires MacOS version 10.14 or higher.
However, I was able to use Seafile Client 9.0.2 which is twice as light as 9.0.3 and 9.0.4).
Also, I think it would be a good idea to correct these pages on the website:
- the Download page, where it says that the Desktop Syncing Clients for Mac “Runs on Mac OS X 10.13 or above”. It should read “Runs on Mac OS X 10.14 or above”: Download - Seafile
- the “Seafile Release Table”, which states that versions 9.0.4 and 9.0.3 work with “10.13 – 13 (Universal)”. It should read “10.14 – 13 (Universal)”: Seafile Release Table
- Seafile Client Changelog: Add “Runs on Mac OS X 10.14 or above” to 9.0.3 in Seafile Client - Seafile Admin Manual
