Error uploading files to seafile

I’ve changed my system from static ip to DHCP and now can’t upload anything to my seafile server.

I changed the seahub_settings.py to:

"FILE_SERVER_ROOT = "143.93.44.26:8090/seafhttp"
(also tried localhost:8090/seafhttp)

And my ccnet.conf to:

"SERVICE_URL = http://143.93.44.26:8090"
Also tried (localhost:8090) here.

Did you restart seafile and seahub?

Yes, restarted the container.

You should provide a little more information about your system. Why not mention ahead of time that you run Seafile via Docker?

Other relevant info:

  • Why port 8090? (That’s not the default port. Make clear that this is by design and not by accident.)
  • Why no http/https for the file server root? (This is necessary as per the manual.)
  • Why the funny quotation signs (where they shouldn’t be…)

I wanted to run it on port 8090, it worked before perfectly. Just changed the port at the relevant positions.

The quotes were jsut to point things out.

Why no http/https for the file server root? (This is necessary as per the manual.)

That did the thing! Thanks.

Glad I could help.
