How can I enable Shibboleth sign-on using seafile-client under Fedora

Hi,

I installed seafile-client from the official Fedora repos (Version: 5.1.2, Release: 3.fc24), and would like to enable Shibboleth single sign-on.

How can do so?

Thanks

On Linux the Shibboleth login is enabled by default. What do you mean by “enable”?

Login failed. I am sure I am providing correct credentials since login to seafile web interface works fine.

According to the help page of my institution the login screen should look like this

But my client does not show this option. What am I doing wrong here?

That repository seems only provides CLI client package. Where do you find the seafile client GUI? If the package is built according to our instructions on https://manual.seafile.com/build_seafile/linux.html, it should have Shibboleth enabled by default. It has to install libqt5webkit5-dev package before building. It’s maintained by the community. So you can contact the package maintainers.

GUI (called seafile-client) is as well part of official Fedora repo, coming from here: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/seafile-client/

I’ll try to build it myself when I find some time for it.

I’d also like to share the bug report that I filed: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1395809

Hi Florian, thanks for filing a bug report!
