I have just started to test seafile.
It seems that the iOS client does not support playing of video and music files.
Instead I get a white screen.
Seafile client version: 2.9
iOS version: 10 and 12.4
File formats: .mp3, .mp4 and .mov
Server: seafile-server_7.0.4 on debian 9 and luckycloud.de test drive.
On Android and OSX it works like charm (Windows & Linux client not tested).
I would like to understand:
- Are those file formats supported by seafile iOS client?
- Is there anything to be configured on iOS to enable this?
- Is there something that needs to be installed on server side to support this?
- Can someone reproduce this?
- Or is this simply a bug?
Thanks for your help and support in advance
iOS 12.4 client 2.9 not willing to play any .mp3 file.
Windows 10 client 7.0.1 works file.
I have seafile-pro-server-7.0.7
It has worked before.
same here mp3 play does not work on ios:
ios 12.4 client 2.9 seafile server 7.0.4 and 7.0.3
Ok, thanks for your feedback.
The questions are answered.
- yes it is supported
- at least mhagen and moetiker can reproduce
- yes it is a bug.
Meanwhile I have checked the bug tracker on github and found an open issue 253 which seems to fit
github (dot) com/haiwen/seafile-iOS/issues/253
I did some sniffing and testing but is not a server side issue, the file is downloaded to the phone and is being send by the server.
GitHub issue seem indeed related. Watching there.
