Library missing

Hi all,

I have an issue where an entire library have disappeared! It was a library I used for backing up photos so it was relatively large in size. As far as i can see the files must still exists somewhere as the disk utilization is high. Currently running seafile server 7.1.5.

Tried fsck but it does not help.
Starting seaf-fsck, please wait …

seaf-fsck run done

Done.

The repo I am missing is not listed above… Does anybody have any tips on how to recover the missing data?

Kind regards,
Thomas

Did you accidently delete it? Check your trash!

No deleted libraries

Not listed as deleted at least.

Now I am thinking my linked seafile-data folder might be the issue.

# ls -l seafile-data/
total 180
drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 14 2017 commits
drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 14 2017 fs
drwxr-xr-x 3 www-data www-data 4096 Nov 14 13:12 httptemp
drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 14 2017 library-template
lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data     24 May 14  2020 seafile-data -> /media/usb1/seafile-data
-rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 156672 Nov 28 14:43 seafile.db
drwxr-xr-x 5 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 14 2017 storage
drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Nov 28 14:43 tmpfiles

I now believe that the linked folder to /media/usb1/seafile-data has been moved into the seafile-data folder. I will try to move it one level up and see what happens. If it works I can just “save” the photos folder before restoring it to the current state.

-Edit
This was the issue, the linked folder had been moved somehow during an upgrade. Restoring it enabled me to at least recover the photos.

Glad to hear you got your photos back.
