MacOS Sierra Finder Extension

Hi,

The option to enable the Finder extension is greyed-out.

Is there a way to lock files from finder or show sync status icons?

I believe this was already working on macOS?

Are you using the release version (seafile-client-6.x.x.dmg), you’re building from source? It’s a known problem that the finder plugin won’t work if you’re building from source.

If you installed the client using a release package, can you check what’s in your applet.log? (right click the seafile client tray icon => open logs folder)

The latest version should be 6.0.1: Download - Seafile

I am using 6.0.1. Don’t know where this version message is coming from!

After checking the issue, we find that it is a packaging problem for version 6.0.1. We will fix it soon.

Hello, a client is running SeaFile 6.0.1 on OS X 10.12.1 and the applet.log is filled with:

[02/20/17 14:38:31][FinderSync] failed to send reply

After re-synchronization I briefly see a green icon next to a file, the icon is changed to a cloud (uploading), and the ‘file size’ is changed to ↑X KB while the file size in the file info window displays the correct file size.
I just reinstalled SeaFile and re-synchronized the folder, but that didn’t help.
The Enable FinderSync Extension is enabled.

Is my problem related? / Is the FinderSync problem fixed?

The problem was fixed. It was an issue with the installer package. Re-downloading an updated package resolved it for me.
