Reset password doesn't work

I just made a new user. I logged in, logged out.
Used Admin to reset password.
I logged in with that regular user using the same password.

What does “reset” mean in:
Administrator can reset password for a user in "System Admin" page.

What does it re set to? It either seems to set it to the original password, or it doesn’t work.

It would be much better if Admin could change Users’ passwords even when email server is down.

Is there a way to change users’ passwords using cli scripts like we can do with the admin account?

So, the system pops up a notification - but it disappears in about 2 seconds. I managed to do a screen capture as it was having difficulty with my email configuration.
However, it was still failing to reset the password. In the logs I see

seahub.auth.views:341 password_reset timestamp out of range for platform time_t

Doing a web search, there are several hits but nothing for seafile. I have yet to track down the code that is failing.

Actually, fixing the email server seems to have fixed resetting the password :woman_shrugging:

Yeah me too. I finally got the correct password to the SMTP:)
