SeaDrive 2.0.12 fails to run

Server: 8.0.3 on Debian 10.8 x86-64
Client: Seadrive 2.0.12 on Windows 10 Pro 1909 on Surface Pro 7
Symptom: “internal error: failed to connect to SeaDrive daemon” and multiple entries in the File Explorer navigation pane.
Will post logs shortly.

Can’t figure out how to upload logs… Here’s the interesting part, from seadrive-gui.log:

Quite a few dumps as well.
I installed SeaDrive on my work laptop without a problem, operating on the same server/account.
Any help will be appreciated!

Hi

Can you upload the dump files to https://download.seafile.com/u/d/5cd866f6eb6741999afc/ ?

Done, thanks!

Do you have multiple seafile accounts with the same name? Sometimes this can cause the problem.

Only one server with one single account. Problem arose the very first time I installed Seadrive on this computer.
Thanks

I encounter just same problem after reinstalling my SeaDrive client 2.0.12: When I start SeaDrive, an error message informs me “internal error: failed to connect to SeaDrive daemon”.

The installation of SeaDrive went smoothly - no oddities observed.

When starting SeaDrive with admin permissions though, I get no error message and can use SeaDrive. @mrtn Can you observe the same behavior?

For more detailed analysis, I uploaded my dump file using the upload link in @Jonathan’s post. Here the seadrive-gui.log:

What does this mean:
[03/07/21 01:41:35] Unable to switch to account https://cloud.datamate.org rdb@datamate.org effdac7 : ‘[’ or ‘{’ expected near ‘S’
I am asking because I have seen this error message in other log files beforehand.

@mrtn thanks for feedback. Can you check the below registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SyncRootManager ? Do you see multiple entries start with “seadrive”?

@rdb Installed for the third time and this one was OK. No problem using SeaDrive at all. No need for admin privileges. Weird.

@Jonathan yes there are 2: one with local URL and one with external URL. Will get rid of one. Thanks!
