Seadroid Failed to download file "not trusted SSL server"

Hi all,

I set up seafile on my internal server and set HTTPS with a self-signed certificate. No problem with Ubuntu, while I have certificate issues with Opensuse. The client though allows an option to disable the certificate verification, so it works also in there (I will need to fix it anyway, but for now is fine).

The real problem is with the seadroid application. I have tried both the Google Play and the F-Droid versions, but not luck.
I installed my self-signed certificate in my Android phone, first the .crt version, the I tried also the .pem one. I can see that they are valid.

I can log-in into the application and see the files, but I cannot download them.
As per title, when I try to do that, I get the message: “failed to download file”. In the F-Droid version, I also get an extra message: “not trusted SSL server”.

I can’t use letsencrypt as I do not have internet access. I saw that there is an issue in seadroid github (#1023) that someone else had a similar issue ( probably not the same though).

Any hints?
