Seafile client (seaf-cli) with an s3fs mounted drive

Has anyone had success with using an s3fs mounted bucket with the command line client? in particular i’m using wasabi. the folder is mounted correctly and i can create/copy files into the mounted folder no problem.

when using seaf-cli, I’ve run the init command and its created the seafile and seafile-data folders within my s3 mounted folder without issue. I’ve tried syncing (with the ‘download’ option) a couple of libraries, I had one that synced to 100%, however when i do
seaf-cli status

I get the following error against that library:
Internal data corrupt on the client. Please try to resync the library

The subsequent libraries that I have attempted to download under the status command i get:
Failed to write data on the client. Please check disk space or folder permissions

I’m using ubuntu 18.04 (headless/without desktop) if its any help.

Thanks,
Adam.

I think I may have found the solution, but i’m still in the process of syncing some libraries to verify.

It looks like I had a malformed /etc/fstab entry for the s3fs mount.

I deleted the old bucket, created a new bucket, and the one library i have synced has not yet errored. I’m adding some more libraries to verify.

spoke too soon – my first attempt at syncing a library now says:

Internal data corrupt on the client. Please try to resync the library

does anyone has any suggestions/experience with this?

thanks,
Adam.
