Seafile doesn't start after upgrade and forgetting to chown -R unpacked directory

Hi all,

wanted to update from seafile-pro 8.0.4 to 8.0.7.
After unpacking the .gz file, as root, as I usually do, I made an error and didn’t chown -R seafile.seafile the unpacked directory. So while running the minor-update script, the unpacked directory still belonged to root.
When I noticed that, I changed the owner afterwards to seafile.seafile but this didn’t help.

Login page comes up but I can’t login (Page unavailable … server hicup)

What can I do?

Thanks and best regards,
Jochen

Hi Jochen,
did you try to start over by just deleting the whole directory and doing the whole process (unpacking, chown, start update-script) again?

Hey Tjelfe,

that did the trick! Thank you very much!
