I’m looking for an easy way to install Seafile on a Qnap NAS (TS431X2).
I’m not used to command lines.
Does someone already did it and can help me to do so?
It’ll work but there’s no easy way to install without using the command lines. I don’t have Qnap NAS but their specification does state that it supports Ubuntu Linux in virtual environment so you can either install Seafile using manual method or docker. Otherwise find someone who is familiar with Linux to install it for you.
If you want to dabble in Linux then you will need to learn how to use command lines otherwise it’s not for you if something breaks. Linux is for experienced users.
I would like to install the sync client on an older QNAP NAS. It isn’t new enough to run VMs. Has anybody come across a qpkg for this?
I’m crossing my fingers for you, but I am not holding my breath. I cannot remember ever hearing about it.
Well, I’m comfortable with the Linux command line, maybe I’ll try to get it working myself.
