You can get it from the Seafile download section.
If you upgrade from 6.0, you need to install ffmpeg
package to let the video thumbnail work correctly:
# for ubuntu 16.04
apt-get install ffmpeg
pip install pillow moviepy
pip install requests (see 1, just in case)
# for Centos 7
yum -y install epel-release
rpm --import http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/RPM-GPG-KEY-nux.ro
yum -y install ffmpeg ffmpeg-devel
pip install pillow moviepy
Edit: If you have some problems installing pillow
and moviepy
with pip
, you may check this issue
Edit 27.05.2017: (1) According to some users, it looks like that ârequests
â is another python module dependence that hast to be meet. Thanks to @Captain_Rage !
Please remember:
- Donât forget to stop Seafile Server before the upgrade (i.e:
service seafile-server stop
or, another example:service seahub stop && service seafile stop
) - Donât forget to change the directory rights of Seafile after unpacking it (i.e:
chown -R seafile:nogroup seafile-server-6.1.0
or, another example:sudo chown -R seafile:seafile seafile-server-6.1.0
) - Donât forget to apply the upgrade script/s according your start release && with the properly user which in normal case should be seafile (i.e change to seafile user:
su - seafile -s /bin/bash
or, another example:sudo su seafile
)
Maybe you wanna check the technical FAQ for further troubleshooting. Many typical workarounds are described there.
Once again, thanks to the developers and Seafile Community
have fun
PS: Integrations with Collabora and Only Office were not tested; Since I donât know if it is possible to run an Collabora or Only Office Docker on ARM architectures at all, so, feel free to comment and if possible, letâs share how to achieve that.
