Server sync not working for files uploaded via Windows share

I have a Windows shared folder on the server that is mounted on one of the stations as a network location where we store various files.

The issue is that Seafile will not reindex the folders unless the files are copied through the system (web or SeaDrive). Is there any way to reindex the directory structure and the files contained in them?

Already tried:

  1. Cleared memcached
  2. restarted the server

You are using the Seafile client I suppose?
For network based drives you need to set a manual sync interval in the client.
As there is no notification to the client by the Windows kernel about changed content.
