Access rights on new directories

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are using your Seafile Pro version and have the following questions:

If a user creates a subfolder in the Seadrive structure, do they need to select the “Always on this device” option in the context menu of Windows Explorer, or does this permission inherit from the parent directory?

Do all other users also need to select the “Always on this device” option, or is it automatically made available to all users by the first user?

Our version is Seafile Drive Client 3.0.12. The server we are using is version 11.0.16.

The “Always on this device” option is a local property and is not saved to the server. Subfolders will be automatically kept on the device if its parent folder is set to. Every user has to select this option locally if they want to keep files on device.
You don’t need to select this option to use SeaDrive, when you open a file, the file will be downloaded on-demand.
