AI Writing in SeaDoc

How can I trigger text generation in SeaDoc?

I have a seafile installation with a working seafile-ai, which I can use to generate tags and descriptions for documents from seahub. How can I use seafile-ai for editing in seadoc?

Seafile AI currently offers the following main functions:

To ensure full functionality, it is recommended to enable [Seafile metadata management](https://manual.seafile.com/latest/extension/metadata-server/) while using Seafile AI.

AI writing assistant in the online sdoc document editor

To trigger the AI writing assistant in a *.sdoc* file, you need to select any sentence or paragraph you want in the editor and click “Ask AI” in the options bar that appears.

Currently, SeaDoc’s AI writing assistant supports AI question answering, continuation writing, and proofreading functions:

For example, with “Continuation,” the AI writing assistant can expand the sentences you select:

Once the writing assistant provides an answer, you can make additional adjustments or request a rewrite. Finally, you can incorporate it into the text by copying, inserting directly, or replacing.

Generate tags, summaries, or extract text or detailed information from documents and images

After enabling metadata management, you can right-click on the file in any view where you want to use the relevant AI function to trigger the AI assistant.

Ultimately, the AI-generated results can be viewed in the associated columns of the view (such as Description, allowing for manual modification).

Portrait image aggregation and classification

After deploying the [Face-embedding](https://manual.seafile.com/latest/extension/seafile-ai/#deploy-face-embedding-service-optional) service, wait for the image files in the database to be aggregated and categorized. You can then click on the “People” section in the left sidebar of the database to view the categorization results.
