I have installed the sea file server on a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian stretch. I went through all the setup instructions.
The following doesn’t work:
After starting the services, you may open a web browser and type in
[…server IP address, port 8000]
you will be redirected to the Login page. Just enter the admin username and password.
I simply get a message that the connection was refused.
I’ve tried deleting everything and starting over - nothing works.
At this point I can’t use this application.

Thanks, that worked. I’m at a loss to understand why the developers expect me to know this.
I actually installed everything in /opt as root.
Indeed, that’s a bit sad. Which manual did you follow?

I can’t put links in these posts, but I simply followed the online manual for deploying.
I made some mention here, but nevertheless must be changed the online manual, to reflect the state of art.

Hey - just to thank you, you saved my day !
I just upgrade from 6.3.4 to 7.0.5 tonight, at restart :
- everything was started
- but a few (non blocking) errors (about webdav for example) + errors during upgrade (about PRO tables not being found)
- ZERO errors in the logs
- and still a “connection refused” when accessing the web page
And it was just that “bind” entry to switch from 127.0.0.1 to 0.0.0.0 … which is still NOT documented in the upgrade guide.
