I have previously had SeaDrive installed when it was pointed at my old Server (seafile.domain.tld) but its now been moved to cloud.domain.tld. The issue is even when I uninstalled and installed SeaDrive the old sever and the new one shows up in the list and in the library/CloudStorage. The server isn’t showing in the SeaDrive under Accounts either.
I am unable to delete the old server in the Finder, did delete the CloudStorage dir but it just comes back.
Any ideas on how to remove this pesky server would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
have you tried deleting the old account from the tray icon and logging back in? When you delete the account from the tray icon, the corresponding entry in the Finder will also be deleted.
Either way I have removed it. I had to remake the old server, add the account back, delete the account. Then and only then the folder could be deleted. I couldn’t delete it at all even in recovery mode. Its like the folder is locked somewhere.
To delete seadrive entry in Finder, follow these steps:
Delete the current account via the tray icon.
Move the SeaDrive app to the Trash.
Click on the SeaDrive entry in Finder and select “Delete SeaDrive.”
Recover the deleted SeaDrive application from the Trash.
Log back into your account.
These steps should remove the entry from Finder.
For macOS 14.5 or below, we can delete the domain no longer managed by SeaDrive using fileproviderctl. But for macOS 14.5 or above, the fileproviderctl does not support deleting the domain. Therefore, wou need to delete the domain by temporarily deleting SeaDrive.
