Failed to add download task, the path ... conflicts with an existing library

Like the title says, i cannot add a synchronisation with my documents file.

Failed to add download task, the path ‘C:/users/user/documents’ conflicts with an existing library.
Currently this is my only library and it has no sync already. There are no longer any deleted libraries.

I went to take a look in the DB but this doesn’t make me any wiser. (v 7.1.4)

Any suggestions?

Is your default Seafile Folder called “Seafile” inside your Documents folder? If I remember correctly, that’s the default installation point.
Maybe even with the default “My Library” inside?

My Documents folder does not contain any of your suggested folders:

  • Seafile
  • My Library

If that is what you meant.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking.
I have no idea what to do, sorry. Are different paths possible or do you get the same error?

So, I reïnstalled my whole server, didn’t work.

Then i reïnstalled the client, issue solved…
I guess the client had some cache somehow?

should’ve done that the other way around but at least i’ve got a clean install now.
