How strong is the encryption?

How strong is the encryption of encrypted libraries? let’s say someone has access to the server and the “seafile-data” folder, can they read the metadata without the password? or is there anything you can’t do without your password?

Since the encryption doesn’t use hashes, it’s very strong. Even Kaspersky trusted in it.

metadata (filename, foldername, …) can be read without the password. Only the file contents are encrypted.

Encryption itself should be solid.

But like @shoeper said …

… Seafile’s encryption or security concept of encryption has some “weak” points, which won’t be changed and which you should be aware of.
