In my usage of Collabora Online integrated in Seafile, I see some UI improvements:
- When the Seafile header is hidden, the button to show it again is on top of other Collabora UI element. It should be possible to integrate it to the top right button of Collabora UI instead (Nextcloud does it, it should be possible).
- Add a Seafile share button in this header panel: it’s a function I use much more than information, comments, favorites, internal link or go to the parent directory. This functions are present, but not the sharing button, so I need to go back in the directory to use it.
- Even better : directly integrate the different Seafile functions in the Collabora UI, and so get ride of the header panel, which take not really useful screen surface.
- Add icon / new document and templates support / documentation for Collabora online for ODG (LibreOffice / Collabora Draw) files: if we add .odg in the list of Collabora documents, it works well to edit them in Collabora Online, it’s a great tool to do vectorial graphics in a collaborative way.
- Allow to use OpenDocuments templates in the « new » menu instead of Microsoft ones
- Add a support form templates files (ott, ots, otp, otg): when a user click on one of this file, say it’s a model, and ask to : create an new document based on this model, and ask where to save it in seafile, then open it in read/write mode ; open it in read only mode ; and in a less visible way - modify the model. This would make those model formats very useful for collaborative work, without the risk for users to modify by error the model. (like the desktop LibreOffice software who open a new document when a model is opened). Of courses, Microsoft Office templates files could be supported as well, I just don’t use them.
Thanks for all the work in Seafile!
