iOS: can't see any libraries when using https

Hi,

I installed seafile version 5.1.4, set it to use https using Apache version 2.4.6. I can access seafile libraries through browser or android without any problems.

But when I try to access by iOS app, I sign in successfully, but then application prints out “Failed to load files” or “Failed to get starred files” or “Failed to load activities”.

Apache shows in log that authentication was successful (200 reply) and ccnet.log also says “Accepted local client”.

Non secure connection (http) works well in iOS app. iOS version 9.3.3.

Is it known issue or am I doing something wrong?

ccnet.log is not related.

You can check the Apache logs for the URL loading files and loading starred file.

I set Apache logging to trace8. When I try to refresh starred files error.log show lines below:

This is because SSLv3 is not supported via iOS client. You can update to TLS. SSLv3 is not safe.

I disabled SSL in apache by directive

SSLProtocol All -SSLv2 -SSLv3

Apache logs shows during startup

[Tue Aug 02 13:52:36.011203 2016] [ssl:trace3] [pid 7402] ssl_engine_init.c(595): Creating new SSL context (protocols: TLSv1, TLSv1.1, TLSv1.2)

but when I try to connect from iOS client I still see same log showing usage of SSLv3

I also tried openssl s_client and TLS v1.2 connection was successful.

openssl shows that sslv3 is disabled.

# openssl s_client -connect bw:443 -ssl3

So it looks like that SSLv3 keyword is present even when TLSv1.2 is negotiated. Below is snipplet from error_log from successful Android connection.

It seems to me like bug in the iOS client, because server expects data client doesn’t send.

Should I raise issue in github iOS project?

I just posted a separate topic about this. Mine is doing the same thing, however, if I delete the account in the iOS settings, then add the account again, then wipe the cache, I am able to access the files again for a day. Although if I go back to the same file it pulls up as blank, I then have to swipe left and “re download”, then it works. The next day it does the same thing.

Can you check and see if you can delete the account and add it again and see if works then?
