Need help: the app stops running when I try to sing in

Hi, I am very new to seafile and I tried to conect my web acount to the mobile app.
I dont self host seafile (dont understen it yet) so I assumed that the server adrres is the weDAV.
The problam is when I put the URL insted of letting me in or tell me that Im wrong the app stats that it srupps runing.
can anyone help me with bouth problams?

and on the side I have some questions:

  1. how much seafile is encrypted is the senans of doeas the empoys can read the contect of files?
  2. what doeas encrypted librarry is?

In Seafile, an encrypted library is a feature designed to enhance user privacy by encrypting files stored within a library. This encryption is performed on the client side, meaning that the files are encrypted before they are uploaded to the server. The password used for encryption is not stored on the server, ensuring that even the server administrator cannot access the contents of the encrypted files。

So if you use encrypted libraries, the employees cannot read the content of files.

Note, file names are not encrypted.

For the server address part, you should use https://plus.seafile.com

But now is says it doesnt have ADFS/SAML config my mail domain. But the web verion of seafile is ok with my mail and doeas interects with it.
can you hwlp me with that?

This seems to be a recent bug. We will fix it in the next Monday.

Hello, if you are using plus.seafile.com and want to use the ADFS/SAML single sign-on function, you need to configure the SAML config in the administrator interface.

Otherwise, an error “no ADFS/SAML config” will be reported.

The SAML config can only be configured by administrators and is not currently available to ordinary users.

For now, you can only log in with your username and password.

Please do not use single sign - on for the time being.

When this feature is available in the future, you can configure it through the Organization Admin page.

I dont have the SAML opation:

It is normal that you don’t have SAML option.

If you login with username/password, you should not have such an error “it doesnt have ADFS/SAML config my mail domain”.

If you still have the issue, can you paste screenshots of the steps you used?

In your screenshot, you want to login via mobile client.

In this case, when you prompted to choose a server, you should choose “Other server” instead of “Single Sign-On”

After choosing “Other server”, you can input https://plus.seafile.com as the server address.

It says it needs a nunber after the URL

Turn the “https” check on. The address is https://plus.seafile.com

You don’t need the number part because plus.seafile.com using standard https port.

I see that the mobile app does not let you edit the file that are not seafile docs on the app it self. Do you have an docx/xls/ptt editor that works good with seafile and encrypted?
