I followed the official standard installation process, but I’m experiencing an issue.
When the notification server is enabled, creating an .sdoc or .xlsx file often results in two copies being displayed (though sometimes .sdoc only appears once). After refreshing the browser, the duplicates merge into a single file, but without refreshing, both remain visible and editable.
The issue disappears when the notification server is disabled.
I’m running Seafile 13 CE on Ubuntu Server 24.04. Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution?
Problem solved — I manually updated to 13.0.11. But I noticed another issue: it doesn’t show folder sizes. Like in the screenshot I shared, it only shows individual file sizes and the total library size.
Seafile’s web interface does not currently show folder sizes directly. Only individual file sizes and the total library size are displayed. This is a known and longstanding limitation.
Since version 13.0, you can enable metadata extension and the size of a folder will be shown at the side panel for a single folder (not in the file/folder list).
