it would be great to have a photo gallery of the same type that can be found on google photos, onedrive which aggregates all the photos and presents them chronologically

Now with Google Photos cancelling the free option, I see more people looking for a self-hosted alternative. I understand that this is not a priority, at least not for this year, but just wanted to have an idea about how a potential gallery functionality could be implemented. Is there a plugin system? Similar way as OnlyOffice integration? Completely separate application using Seafile API?

Seafile will not have a plugin system. But a good news is that another application we are working on, SeaTable, has such a gallery view feature. https://seatable.io/
We will see how the two can work together to meet the needs this year.

Photo gallery feature will be added in version 13.0.
