Publishing large directory with search

Hello everybody,

I would like to publish about 1TB of multimedia on the web and offer guests the possiblity of searching and downloading directories in bulk, ideally without authentication.

I already have a VPS and a domain.

Is the free self-hosted version suitable for something like this?

You can create a sharing link for your library to make it public.

But currently the sharing link does not provide search feature yet.

Would you know of any ready-made open-source solution, that provides this capability?

I played with copyparty a little, and I think it might be able to do what you want. I only had a preliminary look at it, so I’m not sure it works well, so no guarantees, but it is at least worth a look.
