Even after uninstalling Avast (I also have Kaspersky) and Seadrive and reinstalling Seadrive, i still have this error
I managed to log in with shiiboleth but the process did not end.
Now i have an error login to the server

@Jonathan@rdb is there any way to remove the account ? Reinstalling Seadrive does not help
The error message means seadrive.exe doesn’t start normally.
With SeaDrive 2.0, at least the anti-virus software won’t download many files from the server. But as the file names exists in local file system, anti-virus software will still scan them. So is for Windows search indexing.

Avast also considers seaf-daemon.exe to be a ransomware…
It took me some time to figure this out, while helping a customer who only had a partial sync due to this problem.
This antivirus software is a nasty piece of and it is not the first time I catch it blocking third party software (like our own online backup solution…).
Be sure not to use Avast anymore, it will solve the problem !
(I am not sure that it is the best place to share this information, but I was not sure either that it was worth starting a new thread)
i had some telephone calls last week with the Avast Support Team and they were really helpful. I can agree with @RomainC that the ransomware protection seems to be the problem (add Seafile to exceptions will help). This feature seems to only exist in end-user software and not the business parts of Avast AntiVirus.
There is a support ticket opened and the Avast Team will check this issue.
We’ve also applied to Avast File whitelisting and already uploaded both Sync & Drive Client. I hope this will help.

We do work on the whitelisting for our own backup software and it’s a long and difficult path… Some editor are willing to help, some others don’t care.
