I really really like Seafile as alternative to WeTransfer. Also the ability to see most filetypes online is really nice. What i am looking for is a way to rate the files (mostly photos). So my client can rate (select) photos, like most photo albums systems can do. Not sure if this is within the ecosystem(s future)?
Our plan is to support file rating in version 13.0. There will be a feature called extensible properties, besides rating, you can add something properties like file/folder description, collaborators and so on.

How about a temporary solution? Can you use Seafile Tags?
Note the colored dots on the right.
You can also add stars at the end of the file names (shown above).

That would so welcome! Please consider handling this the same way as Adobe does with its files. I think it is the XMP/sidecar standard. My Nikon camera supports it as well; for example ; if i rate a file 5* in camera, Lightroom / Camera RAW support the same system and shows the rating as selected in camera.
