Now that there are numerous Windows ARM devices out (most major laptop makers have a flagship model running the Snapdragon X Plus or Elite) and they are excellent chips, I would like to request ARM builds of the SeaFile client and the SeaDrive client for Windows
The current x64 clients do technically work on these ARM systems, however battery life and performance would improve if they were ARM-native.
We currently don’t have plan to support Windows on ARM as it would increase the work on updating the packages. We’ll consider about it when more people are running Windows on ARM chips.
Hi, I’m potentially going to buy a Surface X Elite, have you been able to try if the x64 drive is well supported by Prism?
What about performance and power consumption?
Thank you
Just would like to add, that especially on ARM powered devices, a cloud solution is extremely valueable due to the limited hard drive storage in most of those computers. Commercial solutions offer at least a 32Bit version running on Win10/Win11 ARM Devices (such as sync. com, oneDrive or box). I would be very grateful for such a version.
