I just recently installed seafile pro on my debian server, seadrive on my windows machine.
Syncing seems to be bothersome.
First i get HUNDREDS of those windows dialog notification window in the bottom right corner, one that file xyz is being synced and then another one with a yellow X (or was it “!”) sync failed. Yet the files syncs (no idea which of the notification actually comes first thought)
Then often the seadrive client crashes in silence (stops working) when i then wave the mouse over the tray icon, it vanishes. So i have to start seadrive manually again.
The bottom 2 notifications are for the same file, the top one, is another file.
Hi,
Which version of the SeaDrive are you using?
The two notifications above are normal notifications when you add a file to a locally synchronized directory, and the index error is notified when there is an error synchronizing the corresponding file.
I have 3.0.10.
It seems to error out right away, even when im still copying the files to the sync folder from an external drive.
Hi,
can you send us the client logs? You can get client logs by right clicking on the tray icon and then selecting Open Logs Folder. After that, please send client logs to support@seafile.com.
I saw there is tons of personal/company info stored in the logs that i’d have to files/remove.
but a quick glance, i didnt see anything logged that said something that it crashed.
There is a bunch of normal stuff like
[08/07/24 16:18:13] Transfer repo '1234': ('normal', 'init') --> ('normal', 'check')
[08/07/24 16:18:13] Transfer repo '1234': ('normal', 'check') --> ('normal', 'commit')
[08/07/24 16:18:13] Transfer repo '1234': ('normal', 'commit') --> ('normal', 'fs')
[08/07/24 16:18:13] Transfer repo '1234': ('normal', 'fs') --> ('finished', 'finished')
And some anomalies that fills the GUI log:

Hi,
the logs above don’t seem related to the index errors, and there’s no record of the crash. Please check the dumps directory within the logs folder for any dump files generated at the time of the crash. If you find any, kindly send the dump file along with the logs.
