SeaDrive working directory takes huge amount of disk space

I’m on Ubuntu 16.04 headless, running SeaDrive daemon 0.9.2.

The SeaDrive working directory takes 40 GB disk space. When checking with du it shows that most of it is in seadrive-data/storage. Is this normal? Is there a way to reduce disk usage?

Same happens here with seadrive 1.0.9, it by far exceeds the configured cache size limit (set to 10 GiB but folder file-cache is 42 GiB).
